LUCKNOW: The managing director of a real estate company was arrested on Monday and three of his co-owners booked under the Gangster Act for allegedly cheating buyers from whom they took advance, but never handed over possession of flats. As many as 24 cases are lodged against the four in different police stations of the city. “Managing director Nitin Bhatia was arrested from his Dalibagh residence. The co-owners and directors Paresh Rastogi, Piyush Rastogi and Pankaj Rastogi are on the run,” said ASP (East) Suresh Chandra Rawat. ASP Rawat added that all cases were lodged against the accused between 2016 and 2019. “We have already filed a chargesheet against them in court,” he said. Speaking on the modus operandi, an officer said the accused lured buyers with small investment schemes for both plots and flats.
